Veterinary Feline Renal Support recall issued voluntarily by Royal Canin

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) posted an enforcement report on February 6, 2023 after pet food manufacturer Royal Canin voluntarily recalled its Veterinary Feline Renal Support F Dry Cat Food.

The recall was a cautionary measure and related to the mislabelling of products. There were no reports of any illness or adverse reactions.

What was recalled?

Why was it recalled?

Feeding your cat products which are mislabeled means you may not be feeding them the correct food for their age or health condition. The details of this recall are vague, but mislabeled products could potentially be harmful for your cat’s health.

Where was the product sold?

According to the FDA, the impacted products were distributed nationwide but only available for purchase by veterinary recommendation. No other Royal Canin products were impacted.

What to Do?

If you have products matching the above description, stop feeding it to your cats immediately and throw any leftover food away.
